AWVSWA Committee's



Legislative committee will review current or proposed regulations to inform the current membership of how this might affect solid waste issues.


Scholarship committee has developed a scholarship program for AWVSWA employee's  or children attending higher education.


Financial committee will develop the financial budget for the next year, and perform a financial review of the previous financial period.  Financial periods are July 1 through June 30.


Nominating committee will make a recommendation to the Board for Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and four board members.  Elections are held for a two year term.  During an even numbered year, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, and two Board of Directors are elected.  During odd numbered years, the Chairman, Secretary, and other two Directors are elected. 

Conference Planning

Conference Planning Committee works on developing the agenda for the annual meeting.  This group meets at 10:00am on the Third Thursday of the month .  Please refer to the monthly calender to see if a meeting is scheduled during the month.
